Dante Firmware Update Manager (DFUM) is Audinate’s legacy software application used to manually upload .dnt firmware files to Dante-enabled audio hardware over an Ethernet network. While it has largely been replaced by the more modern Dante Updater tool (integrated directly into the Dante Controller software since version 4.2), DFUM remains crucial for managing legacy devices, operating within strictly isolated networks, and executing “failsafe recovery” procedures.
