Download the tool from the official ViStart GitHub Repository.
Run the installer and launch the app to replace your native Start Menu.
Locate the ViStart icon in your Windows system tray (bottom-right corner of your taskbar). Using the ViStart Skin Manager
Right-click the ViStart system tray icon and choose Options or Control Panel to load the Skin Manager. Click on the Style or Skins tab inside the interface.
Select a preset skin from the list (such as Windows 7 Aero or Classic XP).
Click Apply to instantly transform the layout and texture of your menu. Customizing the Start Orb (Button) Open the Start Orb section inside the Skin Manager panel.
Choose from the pre-installed button designs (like the round Windows Vista glass orb).
Check the Skins Rollover option to change how the button behaves or glows when your mouse hovers over it.

For deeper visual and feature overrides, you can manually modify the software’s settings files:
Open the installation folder and navigate to the Skins directory.
Open the settings.xml file using a standard text editor to add or remove up to 18 custom navigation items.
Map shortcuts for modern user paths like Libraries, Downloads, or custom search parameters.
Update the Language.xml file to instantly translate or rewrite any visible text strings in the menu.
